Amman, Sept 13 (Petra) -- The Directorate of Scholarships and Cultural Offices at the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development announced on Sunday the availability of undergraduate scholarships in non-medical majors under cultural exchange programs for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The scholarships cover study opportunities in Egypt and Morocco under specific conditions and minimum grade requirements for each country. Applications opened on Sunday and will close on Wednesday.

For scholarships in Egypt, applicants must hold Jordanian nationality and have obtained the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) in 2026. Available fields include engineering (minimum grade 80%), artificial intelligence (minimum 75%), veterinary medicine (minimum 80%), and law (minimum 65%).

The Egyptian grant covers tuition fees only. Engineering students will have their specific specialization assigned after completing their first academic year based on academic performance. Egyptian authorities will designate the university, and students cannot request a transfer or change of major. Applicants may only apply for one specialization; duplicate submissions will result in cancellation.

Scholarships in Morocco require applicants to hold Jordanian nationality and a 2026 Jordanian Tawjihi or its equivalent in the engineering or science and technology streams, with a minimum grade of 75%. The grants are restricted to technical fields listed on the application link.

The Moroccan scholarship covers tuition, university housing, and a monthly stipend in accordance with Moroccan regulations. Instruction will be in French, and accepted students must complete a preparatory French language foundation year before starting their degree studies.

The directorate noted that university placement and majors in Morocco will be assigned by Moroccan authorities without the option for subsequent changes.

Candidate selection for both countries will be based on the highest Tawjihi scores relative to the available quota. Applicants were instructed to submit their forms via the designated online portals before the deadline.
